Yes, to accommodate an increasingly knowledgeable and discerning clientele, appraisers need to develop a working mastery of basic and discipline-specific valuation theories and related field practices. Once accredited, they must maintain steady participation in a continuing education program to meet the society's mandatory re-accreditation requirements and to meet any applicable mandates for licensure and certification. I am in compliance with this requirement.
